Presenters

~Dr. Imad Mahawili~
Dr. Mahawili is the Executive Director of the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center. He was instrumental in the construction of a plant designed to convert animal and farm biomass to methane gas and subsequently to electricity. One of the goals of the plant is to evaluate its economics and commercial viability for farmers.

~Jenny Eigenberger~
Jenny is an instructor at Lakeshore Technical College. She is a Master Electrician and teaches in the Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship Program as well as in the Wind Turbine Technician Program. Jenny has helped install a number of small wind turbines as well as solar/photovoltaic panels.

~Dr. Kenn Buelow~
Kenn is the general manager of Holsum Elm and Holsum Irish Dairies located in north-central Calumet County. Approximately 8,000 cows are housed on the two sites. Dr. Buelow is a veterinarian by training and has had experience with anaerobic digesters for the past seven years.

~Benjamin Nusz~
Co-Author of “Solar Water Heating: A Comprehensive Guide to Solar Water and Space Heating Systems.” He is also a solar water heating consultant and site assessor.

~Fred Daniels~
Fred has conducted approximately 700 Farm Energy Audits in Wisconsin over the last 7 years. He also manages the WE Energies Comprehensive Agriculture Energy Efficiency Program.
